Hyun Bin's Dark Turn: Watch the Intense Teaser for 'Made In Korea' Featuring a Ruthless Mogul

Hyun Bin is set to portray a ruthless and power-hungry businessman in the upcoming Disney+ series "Made in Korea," and the newly released teaser is generating considerable buzz. The series, set against the backdrop of 1970s Korea, a period marked by both turmoil and progress, follows the intertwined fates of Baek Ki-tae (Hyun Bin) and Jang Geon-young (Jung Woo-sung). "Made in Korea" is scheduled to premiere on December 24, 2025, with the first two episodes, exclusively on Disney+.

Hyun Bin's character, Baek Ki-tae, is an ambitious man who uses the nation as a business model in his relentless pursuit of wealth and power. He leads a double life, serving as a Central Intelligence Agency officer while simultaneously engaging in dangerous ventures as a businessman. The series will explore the raw desires that drive Baek Ki-tae.

The released poster features Hyun Bin in a sharp gaze, wearing a shirt silhouette reminiscent of the Korean Peninsula, with a hidden bug device, which gives off an extraordinary aura. The tagline, "I am a businessman," adds intrigue about the business world Baek Gi-tae will unveil and the dangerous desires lurking within it.

The character teaser video begins with a black-and-white silhouette of Hyun Bin's profile. His narration, "This game is a fight where someone has to die. It won't be me," heightens tension, complemented by sharp editing and gripping music. Hyun Bin's cold gaze, confident gestures, and expressions capture Baek Ki-tae's ruthless yet unshakable character, sparking curiosity about how he will navigate the power struggle.

Baek Ki-tae's ambition is further emphasized by his line, "I will bring down those with greater power than me and ultimately change the world. The world is a battleground for the powerful. A battleground where someone's death becomes my opportunity," hinting at his firm belief in an era where power was justice.

The series also stars Jung Woo-sung as prosecutor Jang Geon-young, who is determined to stop Baek Ki-tae. The series is notable as the first OTT (over-the-top) project for director Woo Min Ho, Hyun Bin, and Jung Woo Sung. This marks Hyun Bin's return to drama series since the 2019-2020 hit "Crash Landing on You". The cast also includes Won Ji-an, Seo Eun-soo, Cho Yeo-jeong, and Jung Sung-il.

"Made in Korea" will consist of six episodes, with the first two episodes premiering on December 24, followed by two more on December 31. The remaining episodes will then be released sequentially. A second season is already in production and is expected to premiere in the second half of 2026.

Director Woo Min-ho, known for his work in "Harbin," "The Man Standing Next," and "Inside Men," brings his signature tension, realism, and emotional depth to "Made in Korea".

The series is generating considerable anticipation, with viewers eager to see Hyun Bin's transformation into a complex and morally ambiguous character.
