Actress Shilpa Shirodkar has expressed her admiration for her brother-in-law, Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu, describing him as "one of the kindest souls I've met". In a recent interview, Shirodkar, known for her roles in both television and film, spoke warmly about her family ties and her respect for Mahesh Babu, ahead of her movie 'Jatadhara' release.
Shirodkar emphasized Mahesh Babu's genuine nature, highlighting his kindness, gentleness, and loving personality. "As an actor, he is family and is one of the kindest souls I've met," she stated. She also noted that what people see of him is what he is in reality.
The actress also addressed the public perception of Mahesh Babu, who is sometimes seen as reserved or arrogant. Shirodkar defended him, explaining that Mahesh Babu and his family are simply reserved but kind-hearted. She pointed out that the family isn't one to openly express their feelings, which can sometimes be misinterpreted. "Mahesh and Namrata are very reserved people, and the world is quick to label them arrogant," Shirodkar said. She clarified that despite this reserved nature, Mahesh Babu is always willing to help those in need.
Shirodkar also reflected on how Mahesh Babu has consistently supported his family, particularly during difficult times. She acknowledged the personal losses he has endured and how he has remained a pillar of strength for his loved ones. "Mahesh, to me, is my brother-in-law and one of the finest human beings I know in this world. He stands by family rock solid,” she said.
Shirodkar also spoke about her bond with her sister, Namrata Shirodkar, highlighting how their relationship has evolved over the years. She emphasized that their shared life experiences have made them inseparable, transforming them from siblings into confidantes. "I know she's always there for me, come what may. She has my back. She's also my friend now. I can tell her anything and everything," Shirodkar shared.
On the professional front, Mahesh Babu is currently focused on his upcoming project 'SSMB29', directed by S.S. Rajamouli, known for directing blockbusters like 'Baahubali' and 'RRR'.
