Kendrick Lamar leads the nominations with nine nods, including Album of the Year for GNX and both Song and Record of the Year for his duet with SZA, "Luther". Following closely are Lady Gaga, Jack Antonoff, and Cirkut, each with seven nominations. Bad Bunny, Sabrina Carpenter, Leon Thomas, and Serban Ghenea each secured six nominations.
Yungblud, the British rocker, is celebrating his first three Grammy nominations. He received nominations for Best Rock Performance for "Changes at Villa Park", Best Rock Song for "Zombie," and Best Rock Album for Idols. In an Instagram post, Yungblud shared a video of his reaction to the nominations, saying he was "so lucky to do this" and expressing how much the rock community and genre mean to him. Rolling Stone had previously highlighted Idols as one of the year's most ambitious rock records, praising Yungblud's live performances and his ability to connect with older rock fans.
Cardi B, known for her dynamic presence in the rap scene, also reacted to her Grammy nomination with enthusiasm. Notably absent from the list are artists like Taylor Swift and Lily Allen, whose recent projects were released outside the eligibility window of August 31, 2024, to August 30, 2025.
Recording Academy members will vote for the winners between December 12, 2025, and January 5, 2026. The 68th Grammy Awards promises to be a celebration of diverse talent and a reflection of the year's most impactful music.
