Ram Charan & Janhvi Kapoor Ignite A.R. Rahman's Hyderabad Concert With "Chikiri Chikiri" Fever.

Hyderabad's Ramoji Film City was electrified on Saturday night as A.R. Rahman's "Wonderment" concert became a star-studded affair with the surprise appearance of Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor. The duo joined the music maestro on stage, adding a new dimension to the already buzzing atmosphere. The evening was not just a musical celebration but also a promotion of their upcoming film, "Peddi," marking Rahman's first collaboration with Ram Charan in a lead role.

The crowd erupted in cheers as Rahman welcomed Ram Charan to the stage. Ram Charan expressed his long-held admiration for Rahman, stating that collaborating with the Oscar-winning composer was a "childhood dream come true". He further added, "Chikiri is doing record numbers in all languages. It was a childhood dream for me to be a part of Rahman sir's music, and Peddi is my favourite subject. I think it can't get luckier than this". Janhvi Kapoor echoed his sentiments, calling the moment a memorable one in her career.

Janhvi Kapoor charmed the audience by addressing them in Telugu. She expressed her gratitude for being a part of "Peddi" and shared her hope that the audience would love their first single, "Chikiri Chikiri". "Ee cinema lo bagham aye avakasam dorikinanduku naa adrushtam ga bhavistunanu. Maa first single meeku baaga nacchutundi ani anukuntunanu. Ee cinema lo miku oka different ga unique ga experience ivadaniki chala hard work chestunamu.(I think I am lucky to have gotten the opportunity to act in this film. I hope that you are all enjoying our first single (Chikiri Chikiri) from the film. We are all working very hard to provide you with a unique and different experience,)" she said. Her effort to connect with the audience in their native language won her much appreciation.

Rahman, in turn, praised the beauty of the Telugu language and conveyed his excitement about composing for "Peddi". He assured the Hyderabad fans that the music of "Peddi" would be truly special.

The highlight of the evening was the live performance of "Chikiri," the first single from "Peddi," which sent the crowd into a frenzy. The song has already been making waves on social media. Videos and photos from the event quickly went viral, especially clips of Janhvi's Telugu speech.

"Peddi," directed by Buchi Babu Sana, is touted to be a rural sports drama. The film features Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor in their first collaboration, along with Jagapathi Babu, Shiva Rajkumar, and Divyenndu in pivotal roles. "Peddi" marks Rahman's return to Telugu cinema after "Komaram Puli" (2010) and "Sahasam Swasaga Sagipo" (2016). The film is slated for a theatrical release on March 27, 2026.

The concert served as a dual celebration – a musical extravaganza by A.R. Rahman and a promotional event for the highly anticipated film "Peddi". The presence of Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor added a touch of glamour and excitement, making it a night to remember for the fans. The success of the song "Chikiri" and the stars' appearance at the concert have further amplified the buzz surrounding the film.
