Tensions flared in the Bigg Boss 19 house as a seemingly minor incident ignited a major feud between once-close friends Tanya Mittal and Farrhana Bhatt. The altercation, which unfolded during the ongoing family week, has become a central talking point among viewers and housemates alike.
The conflict reportedly began when Farrhana casually spat 'elaichi' (cardamom) in the garden area, an action that Tanya immediately took issue with. Tanya promptly asked Farrhana to clean it up, but Farrhana refused, sparking the confrontation.
The disagreement quickly escalated into a heated exchange of words, with both individuals resorting to insults. According to reports, Farrhana called Tanya "pagal aurat" (mad woman), which Tanya then mirrored back at Farrhana. The promo shared by the channel showed Tanya objecting to Farrhana spitting near her in the garden area, to which Farrhana retorted, “Don't make me angry. You were pointing it out on purpose. Fix yourself". Tanya responded by saying, “Nobody is scared of you. Nobody is your slave here,” and Farrhana replied, “You are wanting to be a slave".
The intensity of the fight shocked some of the other contestants, including Ayan Lal, the son of actress Kunickaa Sadanand, who was visiting his mother on the show. Ayan reminded Farrhana that she had been feeding others just moments before the argument erupted. However, Farrhana remained defiant, reportedly stating, "This is what happens. I don't give a damn". Amaal Mallik intervened to try and calm the situation.
The fight between Tanya and Farrhana marks a significant shift in the house dynamics, especially considering their previously close bond. The two had been each other's support systems for weeks, making their sudden animosity all the more surprising to viewers. The promo shared by the channel on Instagram questioned if the fight would create a rift in their friendship.
The "Bigg Boss 19" house has been a hotbed of activity. In addition to the spat between Tanya and Farrhana, episode 87 also featured Kunickaa Sadanand's emotional reunion with her granddaughters during family week. Ashnoor Kaur's father, Gurmeet Singh, prepared a special meal for the housemates, with Shehbaz Badesha acting as his assistant. Furthermore, Tanya apologized to Gurmeet for previous body-shaming remarks made towards Ashnoor. Other family members entered the house, including Gaurav Khanna's wife, Akanksha Chamola.
"Bigg Boss 19" airs on Colors TV and streams on JioCinema. The show, based on the Dutch "Big Brother" format, premiered on November 3, 2006. The current season is hosted by Salman Khan. Besides Tanya Mittal and Farrhana Bhatt, the contestants include Ashnoor Kaur, Kunickaa Sadanand, Gaurav Khanna, Shehbaz Badeshah, Malti Chahar, Pranit More, and Amaal Mallik.
