Production for the highly anticipated fifth season of "Emily in Paris" is officially set to commence in May 2025. Netflix has confirmed that Emily, Sylvie, Mindy, and the rest of the cast will be back for a fifth season.
Filming will begin in Rome before moving to Paris. This season promises a continued exploration of Emily's adventures, balancing her professional ambitions with a complicated love life against the backdrop of two of the world's most romantic cities.
The series will feature Lily Collins (Emily Cooper), Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu (Sylvie Grateau), Ashley Park (Mindy Chen), Lucas Bravo (Gabriel), Samuel Arnold (Julien), Bruno Gouery (Luc), William Abadie (Antoine Lambert), Lucien Laviscount (Alfie), Thalia Besson (Genevieve) and Eugenio Franceschini (Marcello). However, Camille Razat, who played Camille, will not be returning for season five.
The fourth season concluded with Agence Grateau launching an office in Rome, with Sylvie proposing that Emily lead it. This sets the stage for Emily to navigate her time between Rome and Paris. Creator Darren Star has indicated that Emily will have a presence in Rome but will not be leaving Paris.
Ahead of the official renewal, an auction item at the amfAR Gala at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2024 hinted at a fifth season. Attendees could bid on a walk-on role in season five. The auction site later clarified that the winning bidder would spend a day on set in Paris during filming.
While the premiere date is yet to be announced by Netflix, "Emily in Paris" season five is expected to be released later this year.
