When asked about the possibility of "Ironheart" being renewed, Thorne responded, "No, no. Not yet".

Despite the uncertainty, Thorne has shared her hopes for her character's trajectory should the series continue. She expressed interest in seeing Riri "explore the full range of other options presented to her in Season 1". Thorne also noted how Riri's experiences in the first season have broadened her understanding of the world, stating, "Her mind is opened about what actually exists in the world, realizing that it's so much bigger than what she thought, even in her hometown, that things are so much bigger and there's a lot more going on than she ever cared to know or to understand".

"Those characters can get picked up anywhere. It could be a season two, it could be a different show altogether. It could be a movie," Ohanian stated.
