Akshay Kumar has announced the completion of filming for his seventh collaboration with director Priyadarshan, a horror-comedy titled "Bhooth Bangla." The film also stars Wamiqa Gabbi, and Kumar shared his excitement in a social media post, calling Gabbi "ever-surprising."

The announcement was made via a behind-the-scenes video featuring Kumar and Gabbi shooting a romantic song sequence with a waterfall as the backdrop. Kumar expressed his gratitude for the experience, referring to it as a "madcap adventure" with Priyadarshan and a "magical journey" with Gabbi. He also acknowledged his second collaboration with producer Ektaa Kapoor.

Gabbi responded to Kumar's post with appreciation, describing her time on set as "the best best best time shooting with this team" and "absolutely FUNtastic." Ektaa Kapoor also chimed in, playfully mentioning a prank Kumar played on her and expressing her excitement for future collaborations.

"Bhooth Bangla" marks the reunion of Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan after a gap of 15 years, their last venture being "Khatta Meetha" in 2010. The duo has previously delivered several successful comedies, including "Hera Pheri," "Garam Masala," "Bhool Bhulaiyaa," "Bhagam Bhag," and "De Dana Dan." This impressive track record has created considerable anticipation for "Bhooth Bangla."

The film boasts a stellar cast, including Tabu, Paresh Rawal, Sharman Joshi, Mithila Palkar, and Jaaved Jaaferi in significant roles. The dialogues are written by Rohan Shankar. The film is produced by Shobha Kapoor and Ektaa Kapoor's Balaji Telefilms and Akshay Kumar's Cape of Good Films. Faara Sheikh and Vedant Baali serve as co-producers. The story is by Akash A Kaushik, with the screenplay penned by Rohan Shankar, Abilash Nair, and Priyadarshan.

"Bhooth Bangla" is slated for a theatrical release on April 2, 2026. Some portions of the film have been shot in Rajasthan, Jaipur, and Hyderabad.
