Following the arrest of Haryana-based YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra on charges of spying for Pakistan, actress Rupali Ganguly has voiced her strong condemnation. Malhotra, who runs a travel vlog channel called "Travel with JO," is accused of leaking sensitive information related to India to Pakistani intelligence.

News reports indicate that Malhotra's clips came under scrutiny, revealing her connections with a Pakistani officer at the High Commission of India. It's been reported that in 2024, Malhotra accepted an invitation from the High Commission of Pakistan for an Iftar dinner. A video clip surfaced showing her in a comfortable setting with an officer named Danish, with whom she seemed familiar. Danish was later declared persona non grata and was reportedly expelled on May 13, 2025, on espionage charges.

Rupali Ganguly, known for her patriotism and strong opinions, took to X (formerly Twitter) to express her views on the matter. She stated that such individuals "do not even realize when their love for Pakistan turns into hatred for India. Initially, they talk about 'Aman Ki Aasha' and end up hating India. Don't know how many such people are secretly working against the country, not a single one should be spared." She emphasized the need for strict action against those betraying the nation.

Ganguly's reaction has been widely appreciated by netizens, who have lauded her for standing up for pro-India narratives. One user commented, "Appreciate your efforts to support pro-India narratives... others are still silent.. keep voicing it.. your tremendous fan base will soon follow the same… Jai Hind." Another user expressed strong sentiments, calling for severe punishment for those who betray the country.

According to reports, Jyoti Malhotra traveled to Pakistan twice in 2023 and allegedly met with individuals identified as Ali Ehwan, Shakir, and Rana Shahbaz. To avoid detection, she reportedly saved their contact details under misleading names. Currently, Malhotra is in police custody, and an investigation is underway. She has been booked under Sections 3, 4, and 5 of the Official Secrets Act and Section 152 of the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

Rupali Ganguly's outspoken response reflects the sentiments of many who are concerned about national security and the potential for individuals to exploit their positions for nefarious purposes. Her call for strict action against those found guilty of treason underscores the importance of vigilance and accountability in safeguarding the country's interests.
