Aamir Khan recently shared his experiences of spending eight days with Indian soldiers in Kargil after the Kargil War. Speaking on the television show Aap Ki Adalat, Khan recounted his time with the soldiers, emphasizing his admiration for their dedication and sacrifice.

The actor recalled staying a night in a bunker during his visit. He described the experience as eye-opening, providing him with a glimpse into the challenging conditions under which the soldiers operate. The visit, which took place shortly after the Kargil War, was aimed at boosting the morale of the soldiers who had been through intense conflict.

Khan's visit to Kargil wasn't a fleeting photo opportunity. He immersed himself in the daily lives of the soldiers, sharing their experiences and listening to their stories. This extended stay allowed him to connect with them on a deeper level and understand the hardships they faced.

Aamir Khan's respect for the Indian Army has been evident on several occasions. In the past, he has also spoken out against terrorism, asserting that such acts have no place in any religion and are an attack on humanity. He emphasized the importance of not associating terrorists with any particular faith, stating that their actions contradict the fundamental principles of human decency.

Khan's connection with the armed forces isn't limited to his visit to Kargil. In 2019, he had a heartwarming exchange with Kargil war veteran Major DP Singh on Twitter. Major Singh, India's first blade runner, shared that Aamir's film Sarfarosh was the last movie he watched before losing his leg in the war. Khan responded with admiration for the Major's courage and strength.

Notably, Aamir Khan's film Laal Singh Chaddha faced legal challenges due to its portrayal of the Indian Army. A complaint was filed alleging that the film disrespected the armed forces by depicting a mentally challenged person being allowed to join the Army and fight in the Kargil War. The complaint argued that this depiction demoralized and defamed the Indian Army, as it is a well-known fact that the best and rigorously trained personnel were sent to fight the Kargil War. Despite the controversy, Aamir Khan's earlier visit to Kargil and his interactions with soldiers demonstrate his support and admiration for the Indian Army.
