In the wake of this tragedy, attention has turned to her husband, actor Parag Tyagi. The couple had been married since 2015 and were often seen together, both on and off screen. Just hours after Shefali's passing on June 27, 2025, Parag Tyagi was seen leaving the Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital in Mumbai, visibly heartbroken. He was reportedly the one who rushed her to the hospital along with three others after she was found unresponsive. Unfortunately, she was declared dead upon arrival.

Videos circulating online show Parag Tyagi covering his face, seemingly overwhelmed by grief, as he exited the hospital premises. He was also spotted in Mumbai on Saturday, in the early hours of June 29, making his first public appearance since Shefali's death. He was accompanied by their pet dog, Simba. Reports indicate that he appeared to be holding a photo of Shefali.

Parag Tyagi is a television and film actor known for his roles in "Pavitra Rishta," "Brahmarakshas," "Jodha Akbar," and "Shakti – Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki". He has also appeared in films such as "A Wednesday!" and "Sarkar 3".
