Rehman, who had begun to grey early in life, had been coloring her hair for a long time. She found the process of touching up her hair every 10 days tiring. During a period when her husband was unwell, she didn't pay attention to coloring her hair. When Dutt saw her, he was surprised to see her natural white hair. He jokingly asked, "What have you done?".
