The upcoming release of "Metro… In Dino," slated for July 4th, 2025, has already generated considerable buzz, particularly surrounding recent screenings attended by its star-studded cast. The film, directed by Anurag Basu, is being described as a spiritual sequel to his 2007 hit, "Life in a... Metro".

The movie features an ensemble cast, including Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sen Sharma, Anupam Kher and Neena Gupta. The film explores multiple stories of love and relationships in modern urban settings. Specifically, "Metro… In Dino" weaves together four distinct love stories, portraying young couples, middle-aged partnerships, and older pairs, all within the chaotic backdrop of city life.

Anurag Basu revealed that the idea for "Metro... In Dino" was sparked by a conversation with the late Irrfan Khan. Basu shared that Irrfan had suggested making a "Metro 2" after their collaboration on "Jagga Jasoos," planting the seed for this film.

"Metro In Dino" reportedly cost ₹100 crore to produce and promote, with ₹85 crore allocated to production and ₹15 crore to advertising. However, even before its release, the film has already earned ₹70 crore through non-theatrical sources. Box office predictions estimate that the film could earn around ₹10-12 crore on its opening day.
