Jennifer Lopez is expressing her emotions following her recent split from Ben Affleck in a new song titled "Wreckage of You". The song debuted at a private listening party in Los Angeles on Wednesday.

According to attendees, the pop ballad reflects on a challenging period in Lopez's life, both personally and professionally. Edgardo Luis Rivera, who attended the listening party, told Us Weekly that Lopez said she co-wrote and recorded the song recently after a long day of tour rehearsals. Lopez reportedly mentioned that last year was a difficult time, leading her to cancel her tour and focus on herself.

The lyrics of "Wreckage of You" convey a message of resilience, with Lopez singing, "I'm stronger after the wreckage of you". Rivera noted that Lopez said she "kept thinking of the word 'wreck' because it means destruction, but she wasn't destroyed". Another attendee described the song as "emotional and empowering," capturing the feeling of emerging stronger after leaving a relationship.

The new song is part of a collection of six new songs that Lopez debuted at the listening party. The other songs are titled "Up All Night," "Regular," "Free," "Save Me Tonight," and "Birthday". These tracks are described as more upbeat and reminiscent of Lopez's older music. Lopez is set to include these songs in her upcoming "Up All Night" tour, which begins on July 8 in Pontevedra, Spain. The tour will travel through Europe, the Middle East, and Central Asia. Lopez is also scheduled to launch her Las Vegas residency at Caesars Palace on December 30, 2025, which will run through March 2026.

Lopez's recent album, "This Is Me...Now," was released on February 16, 2024, and was inspired by her rekindled romance with Ben Affleck. The album explores themes of love and self-healing and is a sequel to her 2002 album "This Is Me...Then". Lopez has described "This Is Me...Now" as her most honest and personal album to date, with lyrics delving into the highs and lows of life, love, and relationships.
