Lakmé Fashion Week (LFW), in partnership with the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI), is set to return to New Delhi for its upcoming edition, marking a significant milestone in the platform's 25-year journey. The event will take place from October 8 to 12.
This year's Delhi edition promises to be a vibrant celebration of Indian fashion and beauty, showcasing an exceptional lineup of designers and groundbreaking collaborations. The shows will be live-streamed across Lakmé, Lakmé Fashion Week, and FDCI social media channels.
Lakmé Fashion Week has been instrumental in shaping the Indian fashion landscape for over two decades. The event serves as a catalyst for the industry, setting benchmarks, launching talent, and reimagining the possibilities of fashion in a global context. FDCI remains steadfast in its commitment to promoting the "Made in India" label.
The opening show on October 9 will be presented by péro, a brand known for its whimsical take on Indian craftsmanship. This year marks the 15th anniversary of péro. The House of Lakmé Grand Finale will close the season with a collection presented by Rohit Bal. Abraham & Thakore will close Sustainable Fashion Day.
Initiatives like the FDCI Stockroom will provide attendees direct access to collections straight off the runway, fostering a deeper connection to Indian fashion. FDCI will also present "The Denim Edit" in collaboration with 11.11 / ELEVEN ELEVEN, Ashish N Soni, Countrymade, Dhruv Kapoor and KGL, and will collaborate with Pearl Academy for "First Cut".
Lakmé Fashion Week aims to elevate the experience beyond just a runway event, striving to create a cultural moment that fosters creative expression and innovation. The event provides platforms that empower designers, open new markets, and drive meaningful engagement between creativity and commerce.
