Adivi Sesh is gearing up to redefine the pan-India film landscape with two major releases, Dacoit and G2. These projects span genres and scales, solidifying Sesh's position on the national stage.
Dacoit, a Hindi film, is an action-thriller interwoven with an intense love story, starring Sesh opposite Mrunal Thakur. The film is slated for a Christmas 2025 release. Directed by Shaneil Deo, Dacoit tells the gripping story of two former lovers who reunite to commit a series of robberies to change their lives. Sesh and Deo have jointly penned the film's story and screenplay. In Dacoit, Adivi Sesh plays an enraged convict seeking revenge against his former girlfriend who betrayed him. Anurag Kashyap will also be seen in a key role. The film is produced by Supriya Yarlagadda and co-produced by Suniel Narang, and presented by Annapurna Studios. Initially, Shruti Haasan was cast as the female lead, but Mrunal Thakur replaced her due to creative differences. Adivi Sesh has called Dacoit a two-hero film, emphasizing that Mrunal Thakur's role is as vital as his own. Other cast members include Prakash Raj, Atul Kulkarni, Sunil, Zayn Marie Khan, and Kamakshi Bhaskarla.
Following Dacoit, Adivi Sesh will return in G2 - Goodachari 2, the sequel to his spy thriller Goodachari, scheduled to release on May 1, 2026. G2 also stars Wamiqa Gabbi in a dynamic new role and Emraan Hashmi in a pivotal role. Vinay Kumar Sirigineedi directs the film, which is produced by TG Vishwa Prasad and Abhishek Agarwal. The film is being made on a budget of ₹100 crore. G2 continues the story of an Indian spy on an overseas mission, fighting for his country. The film is being shot in six countries, with 23 sets and a 150-day schedule. Principal photography commenced in December 2023. G2 also features Murali Sharma, Supriya Yarlagadda, and Madhu Shalini.
Adivi Sesh first announced plans for a sequel to Goodachari in December 2018. The COVID-19 pandemic caused delays, and Sesh confirmed in April 2020 that he was writing the script for Goodachari 2. In June 2022, Sesh stated that the script work was still in progress and confirmed that the sequel would continue the first part's story. G2 is being produced by People Media Factory, Abhishek Agarwal Arts, and AK Entertainments.

I believe it's time Indian cinema stopped waiting for validation - we're here to tell our stories on our terms, and I'm proud to be part of that movement".
With these two pan-Indian films, Adivi Sesh is set to have a big year in 2025 and 2026.
