Resham Tipnis, known for her role in the 1993 film "Baazigar" alongside Shah Rukh Khan, has strongly condemned the spread of false rumors regarding her son's death. The actress took to social media to express her anger and clarify that her son, Manav, is "fine and healthy".
The rumors began circulating after reports emerged about a tragic incident involving a 14-year-old boy in Kandivali West, Mumbai, who allegedly died by suicide. According to reports, the boy, a Class 9 student, lived with his divorced mother on the 51st floor of a residential tower. This led to speculation that the deceased was Tipnis' son.
Tipnis, who has also appeared in popular sitcoms like 'Tu Tu Main Main' and 'Shrimaan Shrimati', was quick to address the false claims. In her social media statement, she urged people to ignore the fake news and asserted that those responsible would face legal consequences. She also requested assistance from anyone who could help her identify the source of the rumors.
"Please ignore this. Somebody is spreading fake news about my son Manav. He is fine and healthy by Bappa's blessings. But whoever has done this is going behind bars. If anyone can help me find them, please comment," she wrote.
The actress's clarification has brought relief to her fans and well-wishers who were concerned by the initial reports. The incident has also highlighted the dangers of spreading misinformation and the distress it can cause to individuals and families.
Meanwhile, authorities are investigating the tragic death of the 14-year-old boy in Kandivali West. Investigators plan to speak with the boy's mother, school staff, and others close to the family to determine if he was under any mental stress.
