The set of the 1995 blockbuster "Karan Arjun" was apparently not just a place of cinematic magic, but also playful mischief, thanks to its leading stars, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan. As the film celebrates its 30th anniversary, anecdotes from the set are resurfacing, revealing the behind-the-scenes antics that kept everyone entertained.

Veteran actor Ashok Saraf recently confirmed rumors about Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan's playful behavior during the "Karan Arjun" shoot. Speaking with Radio Nasha Official, Saraf recalled the two stars bursting crackers and firing fake guns outside director Rakesh Roshan's room. While Saraf admitted to keeping his distance from the pranks, he acknowledged that the two actors clearly enjoyed themselves.

Rakesh Roshan himself has spoken about the challenges he faced while filming "Karan Arjun" with Shah Rukh and Salman. In the documentary "The Roshans," Roshan revealed that the actors initially lost interest in the film midway through production. According to Roshan, both actors were reluctant to show up on set, which caused delays. Shatrughan Sinha supported Roshan's account, stating that Shah Rukh and Salman "tormented" him, often mocking him or refusing to cooperate.

Shah Rukh Khan also appeared in "The Roshans" documentary, reflecting on their behavior during the making of "Karan Arjun". "Yes, we (Shah Rukh and Salman) troubled him a lot; because both of us were very naughty, troublemakers," Shah Rukh said. He recounted an instance where Rakesh's wife, Pinkie Roshan, scolded him for troubling her husband. Shah Rukh admitted that while he may have appeared better behaved than Salman, they were both like mischievous kids causing trouble for a father figure.

Despite the on-set challenges, Rakesh Roshan also shared lighter memories, recalling how Shah Rukh and Salman would pull pranks outside his room, firing fake guns and throwing bottles late at night.

Rakesh Roshan revealed that Shah Rukh didn't initially believe in the film's reincarnation concept, while Salman had different expectations about the film's setting. Despite this, "Karan Arjun" became a massive hit, surprising both Shah Rukh and Salman. Rakesh Roshan attributes the film's enduring charm to the camaraderie on set. He noted that the absence of vanity vans fostered bonding and reflected in the actors' performances.
