Mrunal dedicated nearly three months to learning the dhol, practicing after her shoots. She would juggle between shooting for an untitled film with director Ravi Udyawar and her dhol practice. At the trailer launch, Mrunal also admitted that the Punjabi accent was a bit tough, but everyone helped her through it. She even learned some French in Punjabi for the movie.

Son of Sardaar 2 is a spiritual sequel to the 2012 action-comedy Son of Sardaar. The film is directed by Vijay Kumar Arora and jointly produced by Ajay Devgn, Jyoti Deshpande, N.R. Pachisia, and Pravin Talreja. Alongside Mrunal Thakur, the film stars Ajay Devgn, Ravi Kishan, and Sanjay Mishra. Son of Sardaar 2 is also the posthumous film of Mukul Dev. The film was initially slated to release on July 25, 2025, but it has been postponed to August 1, 2025.
