Divya Agarwal's team has issued a statement addressing claims made by Bhavya Singh regarding Agarwal's married life with Apurva Padgaonkar. The controversy arose during Agarwal's participation in the reality show 'The 50', where Singh, a social media influencer and fellow contestant, alleged that Agarwal and Padgaonkar are living separately and heading towards a divorce. These claims ignited discussions and speculation across social media platforms.
The issue reportedly began after an argument between Agarwal and Archana Gautam during a task on 'The 50'. Singh, a friend of Gautam, then made the revelations about Agarwal's personal life while speaking with Sapna Choudhary. Singh claimed that Agarwal was a "gold digger" and criticized her career achievements. Singh further stated that Agarwal "begs people to let her stay at their homes in Mumbai" and that "she lives separately from her husband".
Agarwal's team responded to Singh's allegations with a statement shared on Instagram Stories. The statement called Singh's remarks "deeply uncalled for and unethical". It further asserted that Singh's repeated disclaimers of not wanting to say anything, followed by the sharing of "baseless personal narratives," exposed her true intentions. Agarwal's team emphasized that 'The 50' was "never meant to be a personal battleground" but rather "a game designed to test strength, strategy, and the mind".
The statement also defended Agarwal's character, stating that she "Always Stood For Dignity, Loyalty". In a separate Instagram Story, Agarwal's team addressed Singh's claims about Agarwal inviting people to her home, explaining that it is simply part of her "warm and hospitable personality". They added that Agarwal enjoys hosting and making others feel comfortable and that twisting this behavior into a narrative of "loneliness or emotional dependency is not only false but deeply unfair". They concluded by stating that attempts to misrepresent Agarwal's intentions would not diminish her "strength, grace, or self-worth," and that speaking without facts only exposes the speaker.
Agarwal married businessman Apurva Padgaonkar in February 2024 in a traditional Marathi ceremony in Mumbai. Months later, rumors of trouble in their marriage surfaced, which Agarwal denied. She addressed the speculation at the time, stating that she had made no comments or stories and that the media was overreacting to her marriage. She also stated that a divorce was not happening. As of now, Padgaonkar has not responded to Singh's claims.
