Taylor Swift recently shared details about a conversation she had with Ed Sheeran at Selena Gomez's wedding to Benny Blanco, which took place on September 27 in Santa Barbara, California. Swift, who is currently promoting her latest album, 'The Life of a Showgirl', revealed the details during an appearance on the U.K.'s "Hits Radio Breakfast Show".
Swift mentioned that she and Sheeran reminisced about his appearance during her London Eras Tour show in 2024. During that performance at Wembley, Sheeran joined Swift onstage to perform their song "End Game". "We were just talking about how much we love when he came out onstage with me at Wembley during the Eras Tour," Swift said.
Beyond reminiscing about past performances, Swift shared that their conversations often revolve around music, especially when they are "rehearsing or writing or working together". She described their connection as a "sort of strange mind-meld thing," emphasizing the deep understanding and synergy they share when creating music. "There's really like a sort of strange mind-meld thing that happens between us two, and we've always had it," she explained.
The radio interview also included a playful moment when the host, Fleur East, inquired whether Sheeran might perform at Swift's upcoming wedding to NFL star Travis Kelce. Swift responded with a laugh, "Oh, it would be hard to keep him from it, I think". She joked about Sheeran's enthusiasm for performing at weddings, saying, "He knows what people want, and he wants to give people what they want". She added, "That's the fun thing about our friendship, we both love performing, and we love writing and singing".
Swift also reminisced about Sheeran's own "forest wedding" to Cherry Seaborn in 2018. The couple, who now have two daughters, celebrated their nuptials in a private ceremony.
