Dude's Global Box Office Success: Day 5 Earnings Signal Pradeep Ranganathan Film's Impending Rs 100 Crore Milestone.

Pradeep Ranganathan's latest film, "Dude," is performing exceptionally well at the worldwide box office, and is poised to enter the coveted ₹100 crore club. Released on October 17, 2025, ahead of Diwali, the film has already garnered significant attention and commercial success in both Tamil and Telugu.

On its fifth day, "Dude" has collected ₹95 crore worldwide. Mythri Movie Makers, the film's production company, shared the news on social media, celebrating the film's continued success.

In India, the film has also performed well, earning an estimated ₹50.3 crore net in all languages. The romantic comedy had a strong opening weekend, further boosted by the Diwali holidays. On Monday, its fourth day, the film earned ₹10.8 crore, marking its highest single-day collection. Tuesday, the fifth day, saw a slight drop to ₹8.75 crore, but the film maintained a good hold. The gross domestic collection, adjusted for GST, stands at ₹60.33 crore. Sacnilk reports that "Dude" earned around ₹8.75 crore net in India on its fifth day for all languages.

The day-wise collection breakdown in India is as follows: Day 1 – ₹9.75 crore, Day 2 – ₹10.4 crore, Day 3 – ₹10.6 crore, Day 4 – ₹10.8 crore, and Day 5 – ₹8.75 crore.

"Dude" has become the 9th highest-grossing Tamil film of 2025, surpassing Dhanush's "Idli Kadai" which earned ₹50.27 crore. It is expected to soon surpass Vijay Sethupathi and Nithya Menen's "Thalaivan Thalaivii" (₹59.36 crore), "Retro" (₹60.5 crore), "Tourist Family" (₹61.59 crore), and "Madharaasi" (₹62.82 crore).

The Tamil film "Dude" remained strong, experiencing only a 20% drop from Diwali day, which is normal. Tamil Nadu held even better, declining only 15% from Monday. The film has grossed approximately ₹59.50 crore in India after five days. With over ₹20 crore coming from overseas markets, the film’s worldwide gross is nearly ₹80 crore.

In Tamil Nadu, "Dude" is close to earning ₹40 crore in five days, already surpassing the first week numbers of "Dragon". The first week earnings are projected to be around ₹45 crore. The film is expected to reach ₹70 crore and potentially surpass "Dragon" if it maintains its strong performance.

The territorial breakdown for "Dude" in India is approximately: Tamil Nadu - ₹39.75 crore, APTS - ₹12.50 crore, Karnataka - ₹4.10 crore, Kerala - ₹2.65 crore, and Rest of India - ₹0.50 crore.

Directed by debutant Keerthiswaran, "Dude" stars Pradeep Ranganathan and Mamitha Baiju in the lead roles. The romantic entertainer is also slated for streaming on Netflix after its theatrical run. Despite competition from other films, "Dude" has emerged as a Diwali winner.
