CBI Report: Rhea Chakraborty Departed Sushant's Apartment Six Days Prior to His Death, Dismissing 'Manipulative' Claims.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed its closure report in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case, giving a clean chit to Rhea Chakraborty and her family. The CBI concluded that Sushant died by suicide, and the investigation found no evidence against Rhea or any other accused. The closure report addressed claims leveled by Rajput's family against Rhea Chakraborty, her relatives, and associates, and brings to light several findings contradicting earlier accusations.

One key finding of the CBI report is that Rhea Chakraborty left Sushant Singh Rajput's apartment on June 8, 2020, six days before he was found dead on June 14, 2020. The CBI clarified that "none of the accused persons stayed or lived with him between June 8, 2020 and June 14, 2020". During these seven days, Sushant had no contact with Rhea or her family, except for a WhatsApp conversation with Showik Chakraborty on June 10, 2020.

The CBI investigation also addressed allegations of illegal confinement and abetment against Rhea Chakraborty. The report stated that there was no evidence to suggest that Sushant was illegally confined or restrained in any manner by any of the accused. The CBI confirmed that the investigation could not find "immediate provocation/abetment by any of the accused persons" in relation to Rajput's death.

Regarding allegations of financial misconduct, the CBI found no evidence of Rhea taking away Sushant's property or belongings without his knowledge. The agency stated that when Rhea and Showik left Sushant's Bandra flat on June 8, she took her Apple laptop and Apple wristwatch, which were gifts from Sushant. The report also noted that Sushant considered Rhea "part of the family". The CBI's closure report stated that there was no evidence of illegal confinement or abetment of suicide against Rhea.

Despite the CBI's findings, Sushant Singh Rajput's family has rejected the closure report, calling it an "eyewash" and an "incomplete document". The family's lawyer, Advocate Varun Singh, stated that the report is "flimsy" and lacks supporting documentation, such as chats, technical records, witness statements, and medical records. The family has announced plans to file a protest petition in court, challenging the CBI's findings. The Patna court will next hear the closure report on December 20, 2025.

Sushant Singh Rajput, known for his works such as Pavitra Rishta, Kedarnath, and Chhichhore, was found dead in his Bandra flat on June 14, 2020. The initial investigation suggested suicide. The case led to intense media coverage and multiple agency probes.
