Mumbai, October 30, 2025 – Enrique Iglesias, the Grammy Award-winning global music sensation, captivated an audience of over 25,000 fans in Mumbai with a spectacular performance, marking his return to India after a 13-year hiatus. The concert, held at the MMRDA Grounds in Bandra-Kurla Complex on Wednesday night, was the first of a two-day concert series, as part of his 'Enrique Iglesias Live in Concert – India Tour 2025'.
Iglesias, dressed in his signature all-black ensemble and cap, took the stage around 8:20 pm, greeted the crowd with "Namaste, Mumbai, raise your hands!" and launched into a high-energy setlist that spanned his illustrious career. The show opened explosively with "Subeme La Radio," immediately igniting a frenzy among the audience.
The carefully curated setlist took fans on a nostalgic journey through Iglesias's biggest hits, including "Freak," "Chasing The Sun," "Be With You," "Heartbeat," "Duele el Corazón," and his breakthrough single "Bailamos". However, it was his rendition of "Hero" that truly enthralled the audience. The crowd sang every lyric, and Iglesias paused midway through, allowing the audience to carry the chorus, creating a memorable moment of connection.
The high-octane production featured stunning visuals, synchronised lighting, and pyrotechnics that transformed the venue into a pulsating arena of music and emotion. Iglesias interacted energetically with the attendees throughout the 90-minute performance, utilizing an innovative dual-stage arrangement. He offered high-fives and hugs, further engaging with the enthusiastic crowd.
The concert drew a star-studded crowd, with numerous Bollywood celebrities in attendance, including Malaika Arora, Vidya Balan, Rakul Preet Singh and her husband, Jackky Bhagnani, Sonal Chauhan, Rubina Dilaik, and Abhinav Shukla. Many celebrities shared snippets of the concert on social media, praising Iglesias's infectious energy.
While the night was largely a success, some fans expressed disappointment regarding traffic chaos around the venue and claims that Iglesias didn't perform all his expected tracks. One concertgoer stated he was a "bit disappointed," while another described the road traffic as "a complete mess". Some attendees also alleged that many of the songs were pre-recorded and that Iglesias barely performed live.
The concert concluded with "I Like It," punctuated by hundreds of white balloons emblazoned with his initials cascading through the venue amid a spectacular fireworks display.
Iglesias's return to India after 13 years was highly anticipated, with his previous concert in 2012 making headlines for an on-stage kiss with a female fan. He expressed his excitement about performing in India again, acknowledging the loyalty and passion of his Indian fans. Despite some minor criticisms, the concert was a nostalgic celebration of Iglesias's music and his connection with his Indian fanbase.
