Mumbai, October 31, 2025 – Celebrations are in full swing for director Milap Zaveri, whose latest romantic drama, "Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat," has emerged as a box office success, defying expectations and garnering audience appreciation. Released on October 21, coinciding with Diwali, the film stars Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa in leading roles and tells the story of a tumultuous relationship between a powerful politician and a free-spirited actress.

To mark the film's successful run, Zaveri was spotted indulging in a massive burger, a celebratory treat that reflects the director's elation. Sources close to Zaveri reveal that he was overjoyed with the audience's response to "Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat," especially after a challenging period of four years.

"Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat" faced a box office clash with a major franchise film, "Thamma," but managed to win hearts with its powerful storyline and the performances of its lead actors. Zaveri expressed his gratitude to the audience for embracing the film, acknowledging the entire team's contribution to its success, including producer Anshul Garg.

The film's journey to the screen was not without its hurdles. Zaveri revealed that the story was written almost seven years ago and faced several near-misses before Harshvardhan Rane was cast. Zaveri felt Rane understood the emotional depth of the character, bringing honesty and intensity to the role.

"Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat" has received mixed reviews from critics, but the audience's response has been overwhelmingly positive. Zaveri believes that there will always be a difference between critical and audience reception and that connecting with the audience is the truest form of validation. He emphasizes that cinema is about evoking emotion, and if a film moves people and entertains them, it has fulfilled its purpose.

The success of "Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat" has also strengthened the bond between Zaveri and Harshvardhan Rane, with Rane expressing his desire to work with the director again. Zaveri has already offered Rane another film, hinting at a continued collaboration. Rane is also slated to appear in Omung Kumar's "Silaa".

Zaveri, who started his career as a dialogue writer, has a number of writing projects lined up, including "Masti 4", "Tera Yaar Hoon Main" and "Dongri". He made his directorial debut in 2010 with "Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai". He also revealed that "Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat" was filmed in just 35 days.

"Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat" stars Shaad Randhawa, Sachin Khedekar, Ananth Narayan Mahadevan, and Rajesh Khera in supporting roles. The film's music is composed by Kaushik-Guddu, Kunaal Vermaa, Rajat Nagpal, Annkur R Pathakk, Rahul Mishra, and Lijo George – DJ Chetas.

With "Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat" exceeding expectations, Milap Zaveri's career is on a high, and fans eagerly anticipate his upcoming projects. There are hints of a potential sequel to "Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat".
