Bigg Boss 19: Amaal Mallik's Aunt Defends Him Against Bias Claims, Criticizes Show's "Gunda" Portrayal

Roshaan Garry, aunt of Amaal Mallik, has addressed speculations of bias surrounding the music composer's participation in Bigg Boss 19. In an exclusive interview, Garry dismissed claims that the show's producers are favoring Mallik, while also addressing concerns about his portrayal on the show.

Amidst the rollercoaster of friendships, fights, and drama that define Bigg Boss 19, viewers have voiced concerns about potential favoritism towards certain contestants. Mallik, who entered the show hoping to clarify his public image, has found himself in the middle of controversies and debates. Some fans have alleged that he receives special treatment, even when using harsh language.

Garry, however, firmly refuted these claims. "I honestly don’t think they (makers) are biased. I really don’t think that," she stated. She argued that if the producers were indeed biased, they wouldn't censor Mallik's inappropriate comments. She raised the point that parents usually don't broadcast their children's misbehavior, questioning the basis for bias accusations.

Furthermore, Garry addressed the perception of Mallik being portrayed negatively, even as a "gunda". She highlighted that the producers included Gauahar Khan's criticism of Amaal, which wouldn't have been aired if they were truly biased towards him. Garry stated that the inclusion of such content, which might paint Mallik in a bad light, demonstrates the absence of favoritism.

Garry also commented on a segment that was reportedly cut from the show, where Amaal was seen crying after being reprimanded by Salman Khan. She felt that airing this vulnerable moment would have been more beneficial for Amaal, potentially garnering him sympathy.

Moreover, Garry addressed the argument that Salman Khan's familiarity with Amaal implies bias. She dismissed this, emphasizing that the core concept of Bigg Boss revolves around entertainment, which Amaal is providing.

Adding to the discussion, Zeishan Quadri, a recently evicted contestant, also weighed in on the accusations of bias towards Mallik. Speaking to Hindustan Times, Quadri disagreed with the claims, emphasizing the emotional nature of the show and the unpredictable shifts in the game. He recalled instances where Salman Khan had grilled Amaal, even to the point of him breaking down in tears.

Roshaan also playfully addressed the female attention Amaal has been receiving in the house, stating, "Arey bahut acha lag raha hain, hero hai, hero ek aage peeche agar gopiyan mandra rahi hain toh kyun nahi acha lagega, jaise kaha na acha vala gunda, very nice bahut acha lag raha hain". This translates to "It feels great! He is a hero, why wouldn't it feel good to have girls around him? Like they said, a good gunda, very nice, it feels great".

Adding a familial perspective, Amaal's father, Daboo Malik, shared his thoughts on his son's recently expressed crush on someone in the Bigg Boss house. Daboo believes that creative individuals thrive on such inspiration, suggesting that Amaal's new song, "Kyun Mujhse Door Tha," may have stemmed from an imaginary love story.
