Mumbai, Nov 4 - Genelia D'Souza and Riteish Deshmukh's elder son, Riaan, has reached a new milestone, embarking on his first solo flight. An emotional Genelia took to Instagram to share the special moment as her 10-year-old son took his first flight without his parents.

In a heartfelt video shared on her Instagram Stories, Genelia, along with Riteish and their younger son Rahyl, bid farewell to Riaan at the airport. The actress expressed her feelings about watching her son grow and experience new things independently.

Genelia expressed her pride, acknowledging the bittersweet reality of witnessing her children's "firsts" without her constant presence. She wrote, "First flight without us. It was always about firsts with us, slowly getting used to the firsts without us.. Go live little ones, grow, experience life - Aai/ Baba/ Rahyo/ Flash will be waiting at home for you (green heart emoji) (sic).".

Prior to this emotional moment, Riteish shared glimpses of their Diwali and Padwa celebrations. The video showcased the family partaking in traditional rituals, with Riteish applying milk, uptan, and oil to his sons. The children were also seen creating rangolis, while Genelia performed the aarti ritual for her sons.

Adding to the Diwali festivities, Riteish shared a photo of a handwritten letter from his sons, which they gave him because he missed the family's Diwali lunch due to shooting commitments. The touching note read, “Hi baba, I know you are working hard for us. Today is Diwali but I hope the light reaches you. The Diwali lunch will never be the same without you.
