The trailer for "The Family Man Season 3" has officially launched, marking a highly anticipated return for the acclaimed spy thriller series after a four-year hiatus. Creators Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, along with the star-studded cast, celebrated the milestone in Mumbai, generating palpable excitement for the upcoming season.
The event was attended by Manoj Bajpayee, who reprises his role as Srikant Tiwari, along with Priyamani, Sharib Hashmi, Nimrat Kaur, and Jaideep Ahlawat, among others. Writers Suman Kumar and Sumit Arora were also present. The launch served as a platform for the cast and creators to share insights, anecdotes, and a few laughs about the journey of creating and shaping the series.
Raj and DK addressed the media, reflecting on the creative process and the challenges of meeting fan expectations after such a long wait. DK mentioned that "Every season gets tougher because it's not just about continuing a story, it's about elevating it". Raj also shared a key creative decision from the beginning, stating, "One of the ideas we had while creating The Family Man was not to have a flashback. There's no backstory of Srikant Tiwari. We made a conscious choice to let the audience discover him as the story unfolds".
The trailer offers a glimpse into the new season, where Srikant Tiwari finds himself on the run, facing threats from new adversaries, Rukma (Jaideep Ahlawat) and Meera (Nimrat Kaur), as well as his own intelligence unit, TASC. This sets the stage for an explosive mix of action, wit, and family drama, as Srikant races against time to protect his loved ones and the nation from an imminent threat.
Jaideep Ahlawat, known for his intense performances, shared his approach to joining the series, emphasizing the importance of bringing honesty to his characters and following the vision of the directors. Nimrat Kaur also joins the cast this season.
The new season promises to be more intense and ambitious, with Srikant facing new geopolitical challenges in India's Northeast while also juggling his family life. The series will premiere on November 21 on Amazon Prime Video in over 240 countries and territories.
