Bollywood superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan were spotted at the VIP opening of the Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi on Thursday evening. The exclusive preview event preceded the museum's official public opening on November 22, 2025. The actors were seen exploring the museum's collections and exhibits.
The Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi is the latest addition to the Saadiyat Cultural District. The museum aims to be a global destination for culture, creativity, and cross-disciplinary exchange, bringing together art, science, and heritage.
Khan and Khan experienced the museum's immersive displays, including a 67-million-year-old "Stan," a Tyrannosaurus rex fossil. The museum also features the world's first display of a sauropod dinosaur herd and a display of two fossilized T. rexes battling over a Triceratops.
The VIP opening also welcomed other international celebrities from film, television, music, art, and culture. These included Abu Dhabi resident and TV personality Steve Harvey, special-effects designer Adam Savage, and actors David Iacono and Audrina Miranda. Also in attendance were producer Swizz Beatz, actors Ron Perlman and Giancarlo Esposito, and model Afef Jnifen.
The Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi is the largest institution of its kind in the Middle East and focuses on the natural history of the Emirates and the broader region. The galleries take visitors back seven million years to when the Arabian climate had green, tropical grasslands with now-extinct animals.
