Hyun Bin received the Best Actor award for his portrayal of Ahn Jung Geun in "Harbin". He concluded his speech by expressing his gratitude to his wife and son, saying, "To my wife Yejin-ssi, whose very existence gives me so much strength, and our son, I love you both so much and am truly grateful". The cameras captured Son Ye Jin responding with a finger heart gesture, which quickly went viral.

Before this award ceremony, Son Ye Jin had affectionately referred to her son as "Alkong," a Korean term of endearment meaning "cutie".
