Hrithik Roshan reprises his role as Agent Kabir, showcasing a more ruthless and formidable version of the character. Visuals reveal him engaging in sword fights, battling a wolf, and executing adrenaline-pumping car chases, emphasizing his enhanced combat skills and unwavering determination. Jr NTR steps into Bollywood as the antagonist, promising a fierce face-off. Ayan Mukerji directs "War 2," marking his first collaboration with Hrithik Roshan and a departure from his previous Dharma Productions ventures. The film reportedly boasts a budget of ₹200 crore, reflecting the scale and ambition of the project. In comparison, the original "War" (2019) was made on a budget of ₹170 crore. The film is scheduled to release on August 14, 2025, in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil.

On the same day, an aeriel action sequence featuring NTR and Roshan was filmed while it was choreographed by Franz Spilhaus and Sunil Rodrigues. A set of an aircraft interior and exterior were created in Vile Parle. Roshan has alloted 100 days for the project with filming expected to be completed by June. In September 2024, a romantic track featuring Roshan and Advani was shot in Venice, Lake Como, and Amalfi Coast in Italy.
