In a recent conversation with Farah Khan, actor Shalin Bhanot reminisced about the time he met Shah Rukh Khan. The former "Bigg Boss 16" contestant shared the story during an appearance on Farah Khan's YouTube show.
Shalin recounted that he met Shah Rukh Khan at the JW Marriott, facilitated by Morani. At the time, Shah Rukh Khan was filming the 2016 movie "Fan," in which he played a dual role as Aryan Khanna, a film star, and Gaurav Chandna, his obsessive fan. Shalin recalled that Shah Rukh Khan was busy shooting and was crossing by when they met. He also noted that Shah Rukh Khan was wearing prosthetics for the role but didn't have them on the day they met. Shalin expressed his pride in the picture he took with Shah Rukh Khan.
Farah Khan also shared her perspective, mentioning that she had seen Shalin on "Bigg Boss 16". She remarked that she felt Shalin had matured since she had last seen him.
During the same conversation, Shalin also spoke fondly of Salman Khan, calling him a "caring person". He shared that Salman Khan continues to mimic his signature hand gestures from the "Weekend Ka Vaar" segments. Shalin also revealed that Sajid Khan became his mentor after their fights on "Bigg Boss 16" and that they remain in regular contact.
Shalin has been a part of several television shows, including "Grihasti", "Do Hanson Ka Jodaa", "Baat Hamari Pakki Hai", "Sajda Tere Pyaar Mein", "Suryaputra Karn", "Ram Siya Ke Luv Kush", and "Naagin 4". He was last seen in the supernatural thriller, "Bekaboo". He has also explored films, with roles in "Pyare Mohan" (2006) and "Love Ke Fundey" (2016). Shalin also ventured into the OTT space with "Inspector Avinash".
