A video of Dhanush and music composer GV Prakash jamming together has captured the attention of fans online as they eagerly await the release of the first single from the movie Idly Kadai. Dawn Pictures, which is co-producing the film with Dhanush's Wunderbar Films, also shared the video, teasing, "Your favorite duo get together for another beautiful song. #IdliKadai - First single from 6PM tomorrow, here's a promo. A @gvprakash melody". The first single is scheduled to be released on July 27th and is expected to set the tone for the film's music.

Idly Kadai is directed by Dhanush, who also stars in the film alongside Nithya Menen. Arun Vijay plays the antagonist. Filming wrapped up in Bangkok in April, with key scenes featuring the entire cast being shot there. The film was initially set for release on April 10th but was later moved to October 1st.

The film has cinematography by Kiran Koushik, with music by GV Prakash. Idly Kadai is Dhanush's fourth directorial project.

The announcement of the first single and the release of the jam session video have increased anticipation for the film. Dhanush shared the news on his X timeline, posting, “Idly Kadai first single update” along with a promotional poster. The poster read, “First single – A G.V. Prakash musical. The celebration begins on 27th July”.

Industry sources suggest that the confrontation between Dhanush and Arun Vijay will be a highlight of the film. Shalini Pandey has also been confirmed to be playing a significant role.
