The makers of "Love Insurance Kompany" (LIK), starring Pradeep Ranganathan and directed by Vignesh Shivan, have announced a postponement of the film's "first push". This decision was made to avoid clashing with the trailer launch of the highly anticipated Rajinikanth film, "Coolie".
The production company, 7 Screen Studios, shared the update on social media, stating that the new date for the "first punch" will be revealed soon after the "Thalaivar Dharisanam" in the "Coolie" trailer and audio launch. "FIRST PUNCH DELAYED TO A LATER DATE. THE NEW DATE WILL BE ANNOUNCED SOON AFTER THALAIVAR DHARISANAM IN COOLIE TRAILER & AUDIO LAUNCH," the post read.
The "Coolie" trailer is set to premiere on August 2nd at the Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai. Sun Pictures, the production house behind "Coolie," confirmed the date, and Anirudh Ravichander is expected to perform at the event.
This decision highlights the immense respect and anticipation surrounding Rajinikanth's "Coolie". By postponing the "LIK" first look, the filmmakers are strategically avoiding a direct clash with a major event in the Tamil film industry, ensuring that their film receives the attention it deserves.
Adding to the anticipation surrounding "LIK," reports have surfaced that the film's original release date of September 18th has been delayed. This has led to discussions among fans, especially after the release date was removed from promotional posters. The rumored reason for the delay is a budget overrun, with reports suggesting a financial disagreement has hindered progress in post-production. However, an official statement addressing these concerns is still awaited.
"Love Insurance Kompany" features Pradeep Ranganathan in the lead role, supported by SJ Suryah and Krithi Shetty. Anirudh Ravichander is composing the film's music.
The postponement of the "LIK" first look and the rumored release date delay have created a buzz among fans, who eagerly await further updates from the production team. The team is reportedly working to resolve the undisclosed issues.
