Raghav Chadha, a member of the Rajya Sabha and husband of Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra, recently revealed the humorous reason behind his barefoot appearance on the upcoming episode of Netflix's "The Great Indian Kapil Show". The episode, set to air on August 2nd, promises a delightful blend of comedy and personal anecdotes from the couple.
In a promo video that has gone viral, Chadha is seen walking onto the stage barefoot, hand-in-hand with his wife. Host Kapil Sharma immediately seizes the opportunity for a comedic jab, asking Chadha if he had made a vow to appear on the show barefoot upon marrying Parineeti. Chadha, with a smile, explained that the real reason for his lack of footwear was a case of backstage shoe theft. According to Chadha, while he was seated backstage, someone made off with his shoes.
The situation was then amplified by comedians Krushna Abhishek and Kiku Sharda, who entered the stage with Chadha's shoes in hand. In a playful act, they addressed Chadha as "Jiju" (brother-in-law) and jokingly demanded money in exchange for returning his footwear. Chadha retorted with a quip about them trying to extract money from a politician.
Beyond the shoe-related antics, the promo offers a glimpse into the couple's camaraderie and playful banter. Parineeti recalled their first meeting in London, even admitting to googling "Raghav Chadha height" shortly after they met. The couple also shared insights into their relationship, with Chadha humorously revealing that he often asks Parineeti to say he will never become the Prime Minister of India, banking on her words having the opposite effect.
