Farah Khan, the Bollywood choreographer and filmmaker, recently issued a warning to a fake Instagram account impersonating her cook, Dilip. Dilip has become a popular figure through her cooking vlogs. The imposter account amassed over 50,000 followers by using content from Farah's videos.
On Sunday morning, Farah Khan took to Instagram to address the issue of the fake account. She shared a screenshot of the account, which used her name and falsely identified Dilip as a blogger. Farah captioned the photo with a stern warning: "This is a FAKE account, and we are complaining… You better take it down!!".
Dilip has become a social media star because of Farah Khan's cooking vlogs. He gained fame and admiration for his cooking abilities and innocent demeanor.
The account impersonating Dilip had 244 posts, including Reels that received over 100,000 views each. The account used clips from Farah and Dilip's cooking vlogs.
The person who created the fake account reacted quickly to Farah's warning. The account changed its name to "A1 Blogger," removed the display photo, and deleted all posts. While other profiles claim to be Dilip, none have reached the same level of engagement as the fake account.
In a vlog with Ajay Devgn, Farah Khan shared how she met Dilip. She explained that she used to write scripts for films but grew anxious waiting for actors to become available.
