The romantic drama Saiyaara, starring debutants Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, is heading to Netflix after a successful theatrical run. While an official OTT release date hasn't been announced, reports suggest that the streaming platform and the makers are targeting a Diwali premiere, which falls on October 21, 2025.

Saiyaara, directed by Mohit Suri and produced by Yash Raj Films, premiered in theaters on July 18, 2025. The film has become a commercial success, grossing over ₹500 crore worldwide. It has also been lauded as the highest-grossing love story in Indian cinema.

The movie follows Krish Kapoor (Ahaan Panday), a troubled musician, and Vaani Batra (Aneet Padda), a shy poet. Their meeting leads to a deep connection that changes their lives. Both Ahaan and Aneet have received praise for bringing fresh energy to the romantic drama genre with their debut performances.

The film's soundtrack, featuring music composed by Mithoon, Tanishk Bagchi, and others, and lyrics by Irshad Kamil and Mithoon, has also gained popularity. The songs are performed by artists like Arijit Singh, Jubin Nautiyal, Shreya Ghoshal, and Shilpa Rao.

Saiyaara's digital release was initially expected to be a few months after its theatrical debut. However, the film's strong performance in cinemas has extended its theatrical run. The final OTT date depends on how long the film continues its strong showing in cinemas. If all goes as planned, Saiyaara could be available for streaming during the Diwali festive season. Shanoo Sharma, a casting director at YRF and a key member of the Saiyaara team, shared a social media post announcing the film's OTT release date as September 12, 2025, but the team has not confirmed this date yet.

Saiyaara has become a cultural phenomenon, with audiences displaying intense reactions to the film. Social media has been flooded with videos of fans crying, fainting, and even requiring IV drips due to the film's emotional impact.
