Pan-India star Prabhas is generating buzz with a new poster for his upcoming film, "The Raja Saab," directed by Maruthi. The poster showcases Prabhas in an energetic dance pose, hinting at the film's lively and entertaining nature. Along with the poster, the makers have announced that an update regarding the film's first single will be revealed on November 21, 2025.
"The Raja Saab" is a romantic horror-comedy, a genre Prabhas is exploring for the first time, adding to the anticipation surrounding the project. The film is slated for a grand theatrical release on January 9, 2026, coinciding with the Sankranti festival. This release window is expected to draw large holiday crowds to the cinemas.
The makers have clarified that there will be no postponement of the release date, dismissing rumors circulating on social media. Post-production work, including VFX, is progressing rapidly, and preparations for a grand release in all languages are underway.
Adding to the excitement, North America bookings for "The Raja Saab" are set to open on December 4, 2025. Prathyangira Cinemas, known for handling major South Indian ventures, is managing the release in the US and Canada and anticipates a strong opening in this territory. The film has reportedly secured a $10 million distribution deal, signaling strong pre-release faith in its global appeal. Premiere shows are expected to see massive demand, with a surge anticipated beginning January 8.
The film boasts an ensemble cast including Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, and Riddhi Kumar in the female lead roles. Veteran actors Sanjay Dutt, Boman Irani, Zarina Wahab, and Samuthirakani play pivotal roles. Music is composed by Thaman S.
"The Raja Saab" is produced by TG Vishwa Prasad and Krithi Prasad under the People Media Factory banner. The film is originally a Telugu production but will be dubbed and released in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada.
Apart from "The Raja Saab," Prabhas is also working on "Fauzi," a period action drama directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, and is expected to begin shooting for the cop action drama "Spirit," directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. He will also star in the sequel to Nag Ashwin's "Kalki 2898 AD" in 2025.
