Actor Vishal Malhotra has shared insights into the dynamic between Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan during their well-known feud, emphasizing that despite any personal conflicts, neither superstar ever spoke negatively about the other. Malhotra recalled an instance where someone attempted to instigate a negative conversation about one in front of the other, but both Shah Rukh and Salman immediately shut it down, telling the person to stop and leave.

According to Malhotra, this behavior demonstrated a level of maturity and security in their respective positions. He observed that while there were individuals in both camps who tried to stir up trouble, their attempts were unsuccessful.

The widely reported fallout between Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan reportedly began at Katrina Kaif's birthday party in 2008. Reports suggest that an ugly spat occurred, almost escalating into violence. Some accounts mention that Shah Rukh Khan made a remark about Salman's ex-girlfriend, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, which triggered the intense argument. Others claim that Salman had been irritating Shah Rukh about whose reality show was more popular. Gauri Khan, Shah Rukh's wife, reportedly intervened. For about five years, the two Khans remained "unfriendly" until they finally reconciled in 2013.

Despite the tension, Malhotra's account suggests a mutual respect and a refusal to engage in public disparagement. This aligns with the public image both actors have maintained, especially in recent years, marked by several joint appearances and collaborations.

Interestingly, before Salman Khan became the face of the reality show Bigg Boss, Shah Rukh Khan was the original choice to host it but declined due to a shoulder injury. Salman acknowledged this during the premiere of Bigg Boss 12, thanking Shah Rukh for the opportunity that came his way.

While the exact details and reasons behind their initial fallout remain somewhat unclear with varying accounts, Vishal Malhotra's recent statement highlights a key aspect of their relationship during that period: a refusal to allow others to fuel the conflict or speak ill of each other. This suggests a level of respect that transcended their personal issues and contributed to their eventual reconciliation.
