Mumbai: The latest episode of Bigg Boss 19 witnessed a lighthearted yet pointed exchange between host Salman Khan and Elvish Yadav, the winner of Bigg Boss OTT 2, as Yadav entered the house for a special appearance. The interaction subtly referenced Yadav's past controversy involving allegations of snake venom use at rave parties.
As Elvish Yadav made his entrance, Salman Khan greeted him with, "Please welcome Elvish Yadav. Ekdum system hang kardena," using Yadav's popular catchphrase. Yadav, with a grin, responded, "Gharwalon ke andar jo vish hai uska ilaaj karne aaya hoon," which translates to "I have come to cure the poison within the housemates".
Without missing a beat, Salman Khan delivered the line that has since sparked considerable buzz: "Vish se toh aapka purana naata hai," meaning "You have a long-standing relationship with poison". Elvish Yadav laughed and admitted, "Kaafi," or "Quite a bit," prompting Salman to add, "But I didn't know that you can only fix it as you have the antidote".
This witty exchange immediately caught the attention of viewers, as Salman Khan cleverly alluded to the ongoing snake venom controversy surrounding Elvish Yadav. In 2023, Yadav was accused of involvement in a rave party where snake venom was allegedly supplied and consumed. While Yadav has denied the allegations, the case remains active.
The incident dates back to November 2023, when a sting operation by the NGO People For Animals (PFA) led to the arrest of five individuals and the recovery of several snakes, including cobras, from a banquet hall in Noida. Police also seized 20 ml of snake venom. The individuals arrested allegedly confessed to supplying snake venom at rave parties organized by Yadav.
Following the allegations, Elvish Yadav was questioned by the Noida Police. He has maintained his innocence, claiming he had no connection to the case and was ready for any investigation.
Adding another layer to the episode, Elvish Yadav introduced a "poison and antidote" task inside the Bigg Boss 19 house. He challenged the housemates to identify who they believed harbored the most "poison" within them. This task led to fiery exchanges and accusations among the contestants, with Zeishan Quadri, Abhishek Bajaj, and Amaal Mallik all taking pointed jabs at their fellow housemates.
The Supreme Court had stayed the trial against Elvish Yadav in the snake venom case in August 2025. The chargesheet alleges the consumption of snake venom as a recreational drug at rave parties by various individuals.
