Pragathi Shetty, the wife of Kannada filmmaker Rishab Shetty, is known as the "power couple of Sandalwood" with her husband. While Rishab enjoys the spotlight, Pragathi is known to be a strong support system for him. Beyond being his wife, Pragathi is a costume designer who has worked alongside Rishab in the film industry, including Kantara: Chapter 1. She also makes a cameo appearance in Kantara: Chapter 1, which has generated buzz among fans.
Their love story began before Rishab's rise to fame. They initially met at a film event and connected through Facebook, which eventually led to a strong relationship. In 2017, they married in what Rishab has described as an arranged marriage with his best friend. Together, they have two children: a son, Ranvit, born in 2019, and a daughter, Radhya, born in 2022.
Pragathi's work as a costume designer includes Bell Bottom (2019) and Kantara (2022). She also had a brief role in Kantara (2022), where she played the king's wife. In Kantara: Chapter 1, Pragathi appears in a blink-and-miss role during the chariot scene in the first half of the film. Their son, Ranvit, also makes a cameo.
Rishab has often credited Pragathi for her support throughout his career. He noted that during the demanding filming schedules for Kantara and Kantara: Chapter 1, Pragathi took charge of the household and family responsibilities. The family even relocated to Kundapur for nearly five years to accommodate the children's schooling while Rishab focused on filming.
Rishab has emphasized Pragathi's role in his success, stating that she took on personal and spiritual responsibilities, including prayers and rituals, to ensure smooth filming. He said, "She's a big support. Whenever I left for shooting, her prayers would begin. If it weren't for Pragathi, my wife, I wouldn't have been able to finish this film".
Kantara: Chapter 1, a prequel to the 2022 hit Kantara, was released on October 2, 2025. Following the release, videos circulated showing Pragathi getting emotional at a screening, with Rishab comforting her. The film has received positive responses and has already grossed ₹150 crore worldwide.
