Ram Charan and Sukumar to reunite for a film project, expected to begin production in 2026: Report.

Superstar Ram Charan and acclaimed director Sukumar are set to collaborate once again after their blockbuster hit "Rangasthalam". The highly anticipated pan-India project is generating significant buzz and is expected to commence shooting in mid-2026.

Sukumar is currently immersed in the scriptwriting process and pre-visualization of the film, meticulously planning scenes and the overall aesthetic. He will also share production responsibilities, highlighting the ambitious nature of the venture. This collaboration marks Ram Charan's 17th film.

Ram Charan is presently occupied with his ongoing project, "Peddi," which is slated for a worldwide release on March 27, 2026, coinciding with his birthday. Following the release of "Peddi," he is expected to take a brief hiatus before commencing preparations for his role in Sukumar's upcoming film.

According to industry insiders, the delay in wrapping up "Peddi" has shifted the Sukumar collaboration to mid-2026. The scale of "Peddi," a sports drama directed by Buchi Babu Sana of "Uppena" fame, has expanded significantly beyond initial plans, with the team committed to authenticity in every aspect, from action choreography to the period setting. A source close to the production revealed that the team doesn't want to compromise on authenticity. Ram Charan is deeply involved in shaping every aspect of "Peddi", which has contributed to the extended timeline. The team has already filmed in various locations, including Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, and Rajahmundry, recreating a 1980s coastal town with elaborate sets.

While awaiting further details on the cast, crew, and plot of the Ram Charan-Sukumar project, fans are eager to witness the magic that will unfold with this potent combination of acting prowess and directorial brilliance.

After dedicating six years to the "Pushpa" franchise, Sukumar is reportedly planning to take a well-deserved break before commencing work on the film with Ram Charan. This break will allow him to spend quality time with his family and creatively rejuvenate before embarking on his next cinematic journey.

Producer Dil Raju, who introduced Sukumar to the Telugu film industry with "Arya," is also planning to collaborate with the director on another film following the Ram Charan project. Sukumar's next film with Ram Charan has already been signed under the Mythri banner. However, with Sukumar and Allu Arjun having announced "Pushpa 3", it remains to be seen whether Sukumar can allot dates for Dil Raju in the future.

The music for the film will be composed by DSP, who gained fame for his work on 'Pushpa'.
