Zeishan Quadri, the latest contestant to be evicted from the Bigg Boss house, has weighed in on the controversy, offering a nuanced perspective on the situation.
Quadri, known for his work as a writer and actor in "Gangs of Wasseypur," addressed the swirling allegations in an interview with IANS. When asked directly if he felt Khan was biased towards Mallik, Quadri responded, "No, I never felt Salman sir was biased towards Amaal especially". He argued that Khan has, in fact, been critical of Mallik, recalling instances where the host "scolded Amaal so harshly that he cried". Quadri emphasized that Khan has consistently pointed out mistakes whenever he sees them, treating everyone fairly.
Quadri elaborated on his point by referencing an early episode of Bigg Boss 19, explaining "Take the first week, for example — Malti's behavior and tone weren't right, but she wasn't scolded harshly then. That didn't mean she wouldn't be corrected later. Salman Sir reacts based on what happens each week. Sometimes people are given a little leeway, but when they cross a line, he calls them out. That's part of the show, not biased".
He stated that the show selectively portrays things and that his eviction was unfairly linked to comments he made about the audience. He also mentioned that surviving in such a toxic environment was tough, and his anger came from genuine frustration. He added that his apology was sincere and should have been shown to viewers.
Quadri also addressed the perception of a "bully gang" within the house, a narrative that has gained traction outside the show. He questioned the audience, asking who he had bullied, even within his own group, and pointed out that even those he nominated seemed to respect him.
Khan himself addressed the allegations of favoritism during a recent "Weekend Ka Vaar" episode. He pointed out that Mallik had been the most criticized contestant on the show, referencing instances where Mallik was reprimanded for his behavior, language, and actions. Khan stated, "Initially inhone harkate bhi kuch aisi hi ki thi, uske baad sabse zayada baje hain yeh hi. Sone pe baje hai, language pe baje hain aur last to last weekend bhi baje the, bade paymane par. Toh bahar yeh sab nahi dikhta kabhi kabhi".
Adding to the ongoing drama, a heated argument recently erupted between Amaal Mallik and Farhana Bhatt over dishwashing duties. The argument quickly escalated, with accusations of disrespect and demands for apologies. Amaal refused to do dishes until Farhana apologized, while she retorted with defiance, leaving the captain to mediate the brewing conflict. Gauahar Khan also recently criticized Amaal Mallik for getting physical with Abhishek Bajaj during a nomination task.
Quadri's eviction has stirred further controversy, with the actor-writer labeling Tanya Mittal as "selfish" and criticizing her actions. He also expressed feeling betrayed by Amaal Mallik and Baseer Ali, stating he treated them like younger brothers.
Despite his eviction, Quadri maintains that his intentions within the house were always genuine. He says that he raised his voice for the right reasons.
