Bollywood stars Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are reportedly moving into their new home, a lavish bungalow in Mumbai's Pali Hill, on Diwali. The couple is eager to begin a new chapter in their lives together with their daughter, Raha, in their new residence.
The mansion, known as the Krishna Raj bungalow, is estimated to be worth ₹250 crore. The property is registered in Raha's name. The six-story property is located in Bandra's upscale Pali Hill neighborhood.
The Krishna Raj bungalow holds sentimental value for the Kapoor family. The land originally belonged to Ranbir’s grandparents, Raj Kapoor and Krishna Raj Kapoor, before being passed down to Rishi and Neetu Kapoor. Now, it is being passed down to Ranbir and Alia. The bungalow is named after Ranbir's grandmother, Krishna Raj Kapoor.
Ranbir and Alia shared a message with the media, expressing gratitude and requesting privacy as they settle into their new home. Their note read, "Dear friends in the media, Diwali is all about gratitude and new beginnings. As we move into our new home, we are thankful for all the warmth and support you've shown us. We hope we can continue to rely on your consideration for our privacy and that of our family, home and wonderful neighbours. Sending you and your family all our love this festive season. Happy Diwali! – Alia and Ranbir".
The couple has been actively involved in the project, taking time from their busy schedules to oversee the construction. Ranbir focused on the theater and lounge areas, while Alia focused on the interiors and Raha's space. A special room has been kept for Rishi Kapoor, filled with his favorite chair, books, and memories.
The couple currently resides in an apartment in Vastu Building, Pali Hill, where they married in 2022.
The property has garnered considerable attention, with a video of the under-construction mansion going viral earlier this year. This prompted Alia to speak out against the invasion of privacy.
