In a heartwarming turn of events, Telugu actor Ram Charan and his wife, Upasana Konidela, have announced that they are expecting their second child. The joyous news was shared on Thursday, coinciding with Diwali celebrations, adding to the festive cheer. The couple made the announcement via a joint post on Instagram, accompanied by a special video from Upasana's baby shower ceremony. The video showcased the Semaantham (baby shower) ceremony, which was held in Hyderabad.
The Instagram post read, "This Diwali was all about double the celebration, double the love, and double the blessings". The baby shower video featured the mom-to-be, Upasana, in a traditional blue salwar suit, being showered with love and blessings from family members. The video also included appearances from Chiranjeevi and his wife, Surekha, as well as Nagarjuna and his family. Celebrities like Venkatesh, Prithviraj Sukumaran, and Nayanthara were also present to bless the couple. Notably, the video concluded with two footprints, which hinted that the couple is expecting twins. Subsequently, Ram's team confirmed that the couple is indeed expecting twins.
Wishes and congratulatory messages have been pouring in from fans and celebrities alike. Kajal Aggarwal, Manchu Lakshmi, and Guneet Monga were among the first to congratulate the couple. Kajal Aggarwal wrote, "Big congratulations and lots of love to mama, papa and biggest congratulations to big sis Kaara". Manchu Lakshmi added, "Omg, I'm sooo happy for you both! Wishing you the most beautiful and blissful pregnancy! Can't wait to meet the little one!".
Ram Charan and Upasana had their first child, Klin Kaara, in 2023 and married in 2012. Ram Charan was recently seen in the political action film Game Changer (2025). He will also be featured in Peddi.
In other news, Malaika Arora celebrated her 52nd birthday on Thursday, and received a warm birthday wish from her ex-boyfriend, Arjun Kapoor.
