DYK Rashmika Mandanna Shot Thamma Song Despite A Fractured Foot?
Rashmika Mandanna, the popular actress, recently revealed that she filmed the song "Tum Mere Na Huye" from her latest movie, Thamma, while recovering from a fractured foot. The revelation has surprised and impressed fans, who have been showering love on the horror-comedy film and its music.
Back in January, Mandanna suffered multiple fractures and a muscle tear in her foot during a gym workout. Doctors advised her to take three months of complete bed rest. However, determined to not let the injury affect her work commitments, she was back on her feet in just about a month. This meant she had to shoot the "Tum Mere Na Huye" music video while still in significant pain.
In a recent interview with ANI, Mandanna spoke about the challenges she faced during the shoot. She recalled her doctors being "really pissed" at her for not following their advice. Despite the pain, she managed to pull off the high-energy dance moves and action sequences required for the song and film.
"I was in so much pain, I can't even begin to tell you because the doctors had told me three months of bed rest, but I was up and moving around for Chhaava promotions in like 30 days," Mandanna said. She also mentioned that the shape of her foot has changed due to the injury and her early return to work.
At the launch of the song 'Poison Baby' from Thamma, Rashmika stated that she didn't know what she was getting into. She had just come out of a three-month-long fracture ordeal. When she was told about 'Tum Mere Na Huye' and that they wanted to shoot a video for it, she wondered how she was going to dance to the song. She added that it was a heartbreak kind of song, but it was interesting that they created a dance like that for it.
Mandanna also shared an Instagram post in January updating her fans about her injury. She apologized to the directors of her upcoming films Sikandar, Thamma, and Kubera for the delay and assured them that she would be back soon. She also added that she would be hopping her way back to the sets.
Thamma, which also stars Ayushmann Khurrana and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, has been performing well at the box office, crossing the Rs 50 crore mark. Mandanna's dedication to her work, even in the face of physical challenges, has earned her even more admiration from her fans.
