Ahmedabad, October 28, 2025 – Contrary to the usual trend of Bollywood filmmakers starting their movie promotion tours in Mumbai, actor Varun Dhawan has revealed that he prefers Ahmedabad as the starting point for his film promotions. The "Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari" actor, who was recently in Ahmedabad, shared his special connection with the city.

"Ahmedabad has always been my first preference to start anything new," Dhawan stated. He has visited the city numerous times and considers it to be one of his favorite cities in India. "For every film of mine, main promotions yahin se shuru karta hoon, and it has been very lucky for me," he added, emphasizing the positive impact Ahmedabad has had on his movie promotions. He further expressed his gratitude for the immense love and blessings he receives from the people of Ahmedabad, which he considers to be truly special.

Dhawan also spoke about the warmth and affection he experiences in Ahmedabad. He lightheartedly mentioned his marriage to a Gujarati girl, highlighting the beauty and sweetness of Gujarati women.

The actor, who was last seen in "Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari" alongside Janhvi Kapoor, Sanya Malhotra, and Rohit Saraf, also shared his preference for light-hearted films. Dhawan sees himself as continuing his father, David Dhawan's legacy. He recalls asking his father why he primarily makes comedies, to which his father responded that his goal is to make people laugh and have a good time.
