The video then cuts to Samuthirakani, who plays Dulquer's father in the film, declaring that he is going to kill his son.

"Kaantha" is directed by Selvamani Selvaraj, known for his documentary series "The Hunt for Veerappan". Dulquer Salmaan is producing the film under his banner, Wayfarer Films, in collaboration with Rana Daggubati's Spirit Media, Prashanth Potluri, and Jom Varghese.
