Chennai, November 21, 2025 – Raaj Kamal Films International (RKFI), the esteemed production house founded by actor Kamal Haasan, has issued a public warning against a surge of fraudulent casting calls misusing the company's name. The production house has clarified that it has not appointed any casting agents for its ongoing or upcoming projects and cautioned aspiring actors to be wary of deceptive practices.

In an official statement released on their social media channels, RKFI urged aspiring artists and the public to exercise caution and verify any casting-related communications through official sources only. The company explicitly stated that any emails, messages, or social media posts claiming to be from RKFI casting agents should be treated as suspect.

"This is to clarify that Raaj Kamal Films International has not hired any casting agents for any of our films," the statement read. "Please do not trust any emails, messages, or social media posts received by you for this purpose. Legal action will be taken if any party is found falsely using Raaj Kamal Films International's name in any unauthorized manner."

This is not the first time RKFI has had to address the issue of fake casting calls. The production house issued a similar clarification earlier this year, highlighting the growing concern of fraudsters exploiting the film industry's reputation to target vulnerable aspiring actors. These scams often involve false promises of roles in exchange for money or personal information, leaving many aspiring actors disillusioned and financially exploited.

RKFI's proactive stance underscores the importance of vigilance in the face of such scams. The production house, known for its commitment to transparency and ethical practices, has reaffirmed its dedication to safeguarding aspiring talents from falling prey to fraudulent schemes. They have also stated that they will pursue legal action against individuals or entities found to be misusing their name for unauthorized and deceitful purposes.

The issue of fake casting calls is not unique to Raaj Kamal Films International. Several other prominent production houses, including Neelam Productions, have also faced similar challenges and have taken steps to warn the public. In August, Neelam Productions, the production house of director Pa Ranjith, cautioned actors against fake audition calls, urging them to verify casting calls and audition alerts only through their official social media handles.

It is important for aspiring actors to remain cautious and verify the legitimacy of any casting calls before responding. Some precautions include:
