Chaos in Concert: Travis Scott's Mumbai Show Marred by Theft of Phones and Jewelry from Attendees.

Mumbai Rocked by Thefts at Travis Scott Concert

Mumbai, India – November 23, 2025 – American rapper Travis Scott's recent concert at Mahalaxmi Race Course in Mumbai has been marred by numerous reports of theft, with concertgoers claiming that their mobile phones and gold jewelry were stolen during the event. The concert, which took place on November 19, 2025, as part of Scott's Circus Maximus World Tour 2025, drew thousands of fans, but it also appears to have attracted organized criminal elements.

According to Mumbai Police, at least 24 mobile phones and 12 gold chains, with an estimated value of ₹18 lakh, were reported stolen. Distressed fans flocked to the Tardeo Police Station shortly after the concert to file complaints about the thefts, which they said occurred inside the crowded arena.

Authorities have registered a case against unidentified individuals under Sections 303(2) and 304 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). An investigation is currently underway, with police analyzing CCTV footage from the venue in an attempt to identify suspects and track the movement of the stolen items. Additional teams have been deployed to track the IMEI numbers of the missing phones and investigate potential resale channels.

The scale of the theft suggests the possible involvement of an organized group that may have specifically targeted high-traffic areas near entry gates and performance areas. Police are also examining video recordings taken by private event security personnel in order to identify patterns of coordinated activity.

The Economic Times reports that while fans were enjoying Scott's performance, thieves were taking advantage of the crowded venue to steal valuables. Mid-day reports that the thefts occurred during peak crowd movement inside the venue, with many fans only realizing their valuables were missing after they had left the concert.

According to Mid-day, sixteen of the stolen phones were iPhones, and the thefts occurred between 7:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. during and immediately after the concert when the crowd was at its most dense. CCTV coverage inside the arena was limited, but police are analyzing footage from entry gates, exit points, and perimeter areas to identify suspects.

Travis Scott's Mumbai show was his second performance in India as part of the tour, following back-to-back concerts in Delhi on October 18 and 19. BookMyShow Live, the tour's producer and promoter in India, is expected to share its internal security and crowd management footage with investigators.

Mumbai Police have urged any additional victims to come forward with details that may aid in the recovery of the stolen items and the apprehension of those responsible. The investigation is ongoing.
